First off, it’s very easy for all the so called experts to go with Rashad. He has so much talent, trains with a great team and has an awesome coach in Greg Jackson. He’s a threat on the ground and he is a threat standing up. He has improved tremendously since he was on TUF.
Rampage hasn’t fought for over a year and has had only 3 fights is just over two years. It reminds me of how shaky he looked going up against Marvin Eastman in his debut fight for the UFC. He should have ran right through Eastman – no offense Eastman. Of course fight #2 was a huge knockout win against “Naked” Chuck Liddell. Naked is his new nickname right? I actually can’t recall if he has a nickname. How about bad-ass. Bad-ass Chuck Liddell. Works for me. I’m texting Chuck right now. Ya right.
Well anyways, if he can KO Liddell and Wand, he can KO Rashad. It’s just a matter of landing the right punch in the right place. And if he does, it won’t be luck, it will simply be lights out. If Machida can KO Rashad, so can Rampage.
It’s like when I was discussing Mir vs Carwin with a fellow MMA enthusiast at work. I gotta go with Mir for the simple fact that he is more experienced, has crushing submissions, and he just tore up Kongo. But, if Carwin touches him on the chin, lights out. Who knows how a rematch would go. I would pay to see it, not that I’m a big Mir fan, but he’s a great fighter.
Back to Evans vs Jackson. Common sense says go with Rashad. My heart says go with Jackson. I gotta go with heart, but I won’t be surprised if Evans gets him on his back and squeaks out very lackluster victory. No offense to Rashad. He is one of the best in the world at 205.
Now on to Mac Danzig’s stupid comments. He states, “It’s a stark contrast in human integrity.” He goes on to explain that Rampage is basically just a pro wrestler and a poor action hero or something to that effect I guess. You can read it yourself. I’m not going to list or quote every stupid comment he made.
Rampage is simply a great character and an amazing fighter that the UFC is proud to have in their stable of fighters. Danzig is a piece of crap next to him. Just because Danzig has been mush less successful in the UFC than Rampage, doesn’t mean Danzig should be talking crap about him when simply predicting a likely winner for the upcoming match.
I mean, Danzig has lost half of his fights in the UFC. Rampage has lost one in six in the UFC and they were all against top quality UFC fighters. Not like Danzig’s opponents in which he has only been successful against guys who barely won if won at all in the UFC. How many noteworthy fighters has Danzig beat? Danzig is halfway out the UFC backdoor. If he would have lost his last fight against Buchholz, who has lost 3 of 4 in the UFC, he would certainly be gone and probably retired due to his negative personality.
And that’s another thing. Danzig’s personality sucks. No wonder he doesn’t like Rampage. Rampage is a great character for the UFC. Danzig doesn’t have the capacity to understand that. He is self-centered and too worried about saving the lives of flies and gnats. Idiot!!!
Go tell Rampage he is just a gimmick Danzig. Or go ask Wand, Liddell, Lindland, Henderson, Rua, Jardine, or any of the other world-class fighters he has defeated. His last 20 opponents are like a who’s who of MMA fighters. If you mentioned the names of Danzig’s opponents he has beaten, you would just say – who?
